摘 要:文学常常被当作传递法律理念的重要工具,而以12—18岁的青少年为主人公的当代英国成长小说更是借助法律书写来传递伦理教诲思想。通过描述审判场景、展现法律程序和分析法律规则,英国成长小说中的法律主题书写一方面旨在教育儿童尊重法律,使其认识到法律在现实社会生活中的权威地位;另一方面启迪青少年读者重新审视法律,分析法治、正义与权力等之间的关系,从而正视法律体系中存在的问题,并赋予青少年纠正与改变法律不公的责任和期望。研究参考中国学者提出的话语范式,对成长小说中的法律书写及其蕴含的思想展开对话与互构,进而揭示英国社会文化中存在的深刻而复杂的问题。Literature is a vital medium for conveying legal ideas,concepts,and values.This article focuses on literary works featuring teenage protagonists aged twelve to eighteen,exploring how the theme of law in these works functions as an educational tool.These narratives illuminate the legal themes prevalent in English young adult literature by presenting trials,legal proceedings,and analyses of legal documents and regulations.The purposes of incorporating such legal themes are twofold:first,to emphasize the importance of respecting the law and recognizing its authority and authenticity in social life;second,to inspire teenage readers to reflect on the law critically,examine the relationship between power and justice,and identify issues within the legal system.Through this process,young readers are encouraged to develop a deeper awareness of legal challenges and become active participants in shaping legal expectations in literature and real life.Drawing on relevant discussions of legal and ethical writing in literature,this article examines how legal narratives in coming-of-age stories encourage young audiences to reconsider legal issues within contemporary British society.
