An Overview of the Studies on Manner Adverbials in Modern Chinese

摘　　要：“方式状语”是现代汉语语法成分中非常重要的一类。语法学界关注“方式状语”的内涵界定、形式特征、认知解释等多个方面,探讨“方式状语”的句法语义特征,取得了不少成果。但“方式状语”的研究还存在诸多争论之处。本文通过梳理“方式状语”的研究脉络,探讨“方式状语”研究的问题,思考当代语言学理论背景下传统语法成分研究的新视角。Manner adverbials make a very important grammatical category of modern Chinese.Grammarians have paid close attention to the connotation,characteristics and cognitive interpretation of manner adverbials and discussed their syntactic and semantic characteristics,on which considerable achievements have been made.However,disputes still exist in the study of manner adverbials.This article probes into the studying sketch and the related issues in the study of manner adverbials,and reflect on the new perspectives in the study of grammatical categories in the context of modern linguistic theories.
