摘 要:China’s consumer market showed gradual recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic in 2024,but it has yet to fully rebound to pre-pandemic levels.Official data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed that total retail sales rose by 5.3 percent year-on-year in 2024,a modest improvement from 2023 but still lagging behind the 8 percent average annual growth seen before the pandemic.Experts highlighted lingering challenges:weak consumer confidence,slowing income growth,and regional and urbanrural disparities in spending.
