华侨华人商会可以促进中国对外直接投资吗?

摘　　要：华侨华人商会在中国企业“出海”过程中发挥着日益重要的作用。手工收集华侨华人商会数据,实证检验华侨华人商会对中国企业对外直接投资(OFDI)的影响。研究发现,华侨华人商会对OFDI有正向影响。机制检验表明,华侨华人商会可以发挥民间外交职能,当东道国与中国有外交往来时,华侨华人商会对OFDI的促进作用会更为显著。当企业到地理距离邻近中国、法治发展水平较高的东道国投资时,华侨华人商会对OFDI有积极的正向影响。进一步研究发现,华侨华人商会在“一带一路”沿线国家对OFDI的促进作用尤为凸显;在经济发展水平较高的东道国中,华侨华人商会展现出对OFDI显著的正面效应。Overseas Chinese chambers of commerce plays an increasingly important role in the outward foreign direct investment(OFDI)of Chinese enterprises.This paper collected data from overseas Chinese chamber of commerce to empirically test the impact of the chambers of commerce on OFDI.The research has found that overseas Chinese chambers of commerce have a significant positive impact on the OFDI.The overseas Chinese chamber of commerce can play a role in non-governmental diplomacy.When the host country has diplomatic exchanges with China,the promotion effect of overseas Chinese chamber of commerce on OFDI will be more significant.When enterprises invest in host countries that are geographically far away from China and have a higher level of legal development,the positive impact of overseas Chinese chambers of commerce on OFDI is more significant.The overseas Chinese chambers of commerce plays a more significant role in promoting China’s OFDI in countries along the“Belt and Road”.The positive impact of overseas Chinese chambers of commerce on OFDI is more significant in host countries with higher levels of economic development.
