摘　　要：肉牛养殖业是我国畜牧业支柱产业之一,而拥有国土陆地面积31.7%的西北地区(陕西、甘肃、宁夏、青海、新疆)是畜牧业的重要产区之一。西北五省的肉牛养殖业发展,肩负着食物供应稳定及品质安全的双重任务。该文介绍了西北五省区肉牛养殖业发展现状和肉牛品种发展概况,最后总结了近年来的发展经验,并对西北地区肉牛产业的高质量发展提出了建议。Beef cattle breeding is one of the pillar industries of China’s animal husbandry,and the northwest region(Shaanxi,Gansu,Ningxia,Qinghai,Xinjiang),which has 31.7%of the land area,is one of the important production areas of animal husbandry.The development of beef cattle farming in the five northwestern provinces shoulders the dual tasks of food supply stability and quality and safety.The article introduces the current development status of the beef cattle breeding industry in the five provinces and regions of Northwest China,as well as an overview of beef cattle breeds.It concludes by summarizing the development experiences in recent years and offers suggestions for the high-quality development of the beef cattle industry in the Northwest region.
