摘　　要：基础研究是提升技术创新的重要驱动力,是产业突破式创新的重要来源。但是,基础研究强的区域并不一定突破式创新也强,如何激发出区域基础研究的活力促进科技创新尤其是突破式创新是一个重要的问题。采用中国2010—2021年30个省份的面板数据,探究区域基础研究对突破式创新和渐进式创新的影响。实证结果显示:①区域基础研究对突破式创新和渐进式创新均有促进作用,且对突破式创新的促进作用更强。②区域基础研究更多地促进了技术输出,但主要通过技术吸纳对突破式创新和渐进式创新产生显著影响。③经济水平正向调节区域基础研究与突破式创新的关系,但在区域基础研究与渐进式创新的关系中调节效应并不显著;金融发展在区域基础研究与突破式创新以及渐进式创新的关系中起着负向调节作用;政府政策在区域基础研究与突破式创新以及渐进式创新的关系中起着正向调节作用。结论有助于更加辩证地认识区域基础研究对不同创新类型的影响程度,同时为促进技术流动、激发区域基础研究的活力,促进科技创新尤其是突破式创新提供理论依据。Basic research is a key driving force behind technological innovation and a crucial source of radical innovation in industries.However,regions excelling in basic research do not always lead in radical innovation.Understanding how to stimulate the vitality of regional basic research to drive scientific and technological innovation,particularly radical innovation,remains a key challenge.This study utilizes panel data from 30 Chinese provinces(2010-2021)to examine the impact of regional basic research on radical and incremental innovation.The empirical results indicate that:①regional basic research stimulates both radical and incremental innovation,with a stronger impact on radical innovation;②while regional basic research contributes more to technology output,its significant impact on radical and incremental innovation primarily occurs through technology absorption;③the economic level positively moderates the relationship between regional basic research and radical innovation but has no significant effect on its relationship with incremental innovation.Financial development negatively moderates both relationships,whereas government policy positively moderates them.These findings offer a nuanced understanding of the impact of regional basic research on different types of innovation and provide a theoretical foundation for facilitating technology transfer and enhancing the vitality of regional basic research to drive scientific and technological innovation,particularly radical innovation.
