摘 要:在1750℃分别用放电等离子烧结制备α-SiAlON和β-SiAlON陶瓷,对比研究了α-SiAlON和β-SiAlON陶瓷的显微结构、力学性能和切削性能。结果表明:α-Sialon陶瓷具有高硬度(19.14±0.27 GPa)、低韧性(4.04±0.32 MPa·m^(1/2))和低抗弯强度(561±42 MPa)特征,而β-SiAlON陶瓷具有低硬度(16.28±0.34 GPa)、高韧性(5.21±0.34 MPa·m^(1/2))和高抗弯强度(723±55 MPa)特征。两种SiAlON陶瓷刀具切削高温合金的主要失效形式均是崩刃,这表明切削高温合金时,对Si⁃AlON陶瓷刀具的韧性和抗弯强度要求比硬度更高。得益于β-SiAlON陶瓷刀具的高韧性和高抗弯强度带来的高抗崩刃性,β-SiAlON陶瓷刀具具有更高的切削寿命。α⁃SiAlON andβ⁃SiAlON ceramics were prepared respectively by spark plasma sintering at 1750℃.The micro⁃structure,mechanical properties and cutting performance ofα⁃SiAlON andβ⁃SiAlON ceramics were comparatively studied.The results show thatα⁃Sialon ceramics have high hardness(19.14±0.27 GPa),low toughness(4.04±0.32 MPa·m^(1/2))and low bending strength(561±42 MPa),whileβ⁃SiAlON ceramics have low hardness(16.28±0.34 GPa),high toughness(5.21±0.34 MPa·m^(1/2))and high bending strength(723±55 MPa).The main failure mode of both SiAlON ceramic tools when cutting high⁃temperature alloys is chipping,which shows that when cutting high⁃temperature alloys,the toughness and bending strength of SiAlON ceramic tool materials is required to be higher than the hardness.Thanks to the high toughness and high bending strength of theβ⁃SiAlON ceramic tool,theβ⁃SiAlON ceramic tool has a higher cutting life.
