文化张力抑或社会共生——再思西南边地多民族教育转型的逻辑

摘  要:现代教育在西南边地芒市坝区快速发展,主要得益于农业生产机械化将作为半劳动力的青少年解放出来。随着边民生计的多样化及边民的日常生活与外界的联系日益紧密,现代科教知识日益变得重要。此前西南边地学生辍学率高,原因既非贫困导致的读书“无用论”,也非担心传统文化断裂,更非西方“国家与社会”理论视野下所谓地方社会与国家保持距离,或以民族为单位的教育资源竞争等教育张力。边民转而重视现代教育,恰恰是因为他们需要借助现代科教知识与其他民族更频繁地交往、合作,追求更美好的现代生活。西南边地多民族社会共生的日常生活逻辑,方是理解其现代教育转型的恰当路径。Modern education is rapidly developing in Mangshi of Southwest China,mainly due to the liberation of young people as semi-laborers by agricultural mechanization,the diversification of local livelihoods,the increasingly close connection between local daily life and the outside world,and the growing importance of modern scientific and educational knowledge.Prior to that,the dropout rate of students was high,and the reasons were not poverty-induced belief in the uselessness of education,nor cultural tension and concerns about the breakdown of traditional culture,nor the so-called tension between local society and the state in the theoretical framework of Western"state and society".The modern education was emphasized not because of resource competition among ethnic groups,but by interacting and cooperating with other ethnic groups more frequently to pursue a better modern life.The daily life logic of social co-existence of multi-ethnic groups in border areas should be the appropriate path for understanding their modern educational transition.
