摘  要:Human body exemplifies one of the most intricate and sophisticated systems,characterized by nonlinear interactions of numerous components[1].Advances in science and technology have greatly enhanced our understanding of life at the microscopic level,elucidating numerous biological phenomena at the cellular,molecular and even atomic scales[2],[3],[4].Nevertheless,challenges persist in comprehending biological system at macroscopic levels,particularly regarding the integrative interactions among multiple organs and systems within the human body.Cutting-edge research has underscored the coordinated roles of different organs and systems in both physiological functions and diseases,with growing evidence of interactions such as heart-brain connections[5],[6],neuro-immune interactions[7],[8],and other inter-organ/system interactions[9],[10].In this context,studying the functions of individual cells,tissues,or organs in isolation does not adequately capture the dynamic and comprehensive nature of life’s processes.Therefore,addressing key questions in life sciences requires approaches that account for system-wide integrity and complexity.
