摘 要:在南北战争前后的美国南方,洁白的棉花、辛勤劳作的黑奴与赤红的土地,这三者交织成一幅极具标志性的历史图景。正是在棉花的枯荣、黑奴解放的历程以及红土地上战火的洗礼中,南方城市的面貌得以勾勒,人物群像得以描绘,社会变迁与身份重构的轨迹亦得以展现。本文遵循“物—人—史”的逻辑脉络,选取南方历史文化变迁中的象征性物象作为切入点,旨在从博物诗学的视角探讨美国南方历史片段中所蕴含的丰富文学内涵与历史意蕴。通过深入分析,本文以期揭示玛格丽特在其作品中对家园、群体命运及南方社会独特性的差异性书写,体现其深厚的博物情怀。In the antebellum and postbellum American South,the interplay of pure cotton,hardworking black slaves and crimson soil formed an iconic historical tableau.It was amidst the vicissitudes of cotton,the trajectory of black slave emancipation and the crucible of warfare upon the crimson soil that the contours of Southern cities were delineated,ensembles of characters portrayed,and the trajectories of societal transformation and identity reconstruction unfolded.Adhering to the logical thread of“material person history”,this dissertation selects symbolic objects from the shifting landscape of Southern history and culture as its point of departure,aiming to explore the rich literary connotations and historical implications embedded in the historical fragments of the American South from the perspective of the Poetics of Natural History.Through meticulous analysis,it seeks to unveil the differential representations of homeland,collective destiny and the uniqueness of Southern society in Margaret s works,thereby manifesting her profound Poetics of Natural History view.
