摘  要:传统的细胞大小测量方法多依赖于侵入性活检,限制了其临床应用。本研究综述了磁共振成像(MRI)领域的一项新技术—使用有限光谱编辑扩散成像微观结构参数(imaging microstructural parameters using limited spectral editing of diffusion,IMPULSED),与传统的侵入性活检相比,IMPULSED技术实现了无创测量平均细胞大小。该技术基于时间扩散谱成像(temporal diffusion spectroscopy,TDS)原理,通过在广泛扩散时间内测量水分子的扩散范围,探测不同长度尺度上的细胞微结构。通过临床前研究和初步的人体成像应用,验证了IMPULSED技术能够有效地测量肿瘤细胞的平均大小,其测量值与通过活检获得的细胞大小具有高度一致性。此外,该技术在乳腺癌和肝脏疾病的临床评估中显示出潜在的应用价值。尽管该技术仍存在一定的局限性,如模型简化可能导致对特定细胞变化的敏感性降低,但IMPULSED技术为磁共振成像在疾病诊断中的应用提供了新的视角。未来的研究应致力于扩展该技术的临床应用范围,并进一步提高其准确性和可靠性。Conventional methods of cell size measurement mostly rely on invasive biopsies,limiting their clinical applications.This study reviews a new magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)technique,imaging microstructural parameters using limited spectral editing of diffusion(IMPULSED).The IMPULSED technique enables non-invasive measurement of average cell size,offering an alternative to traditional invasive methods.This technique is based on the principle of temporal diffusion spectroscopy(TDS),which detects cellular microstructure at different length scales by measuring the diffusion range of water molecules over a wide range of diffusion times.Through preclinical studies and initial human imaging applications,the IMPULSED technique has been validated to effectively measure the average size of tumor cells,with measurements that are consistent with cell size data obtained through biopsy.In addition,the technique shows potential application in the clinical evaluation of breast cancer and liver disease.Despite certain limitations,such as model simplification that may lead to reduced sensitivity to specific cellular changes,the IMPULSED technique provides new perspectives on the application of magnetic resonance imaging in disease diagnosis.Future studies should aim to extend the clinical applications of this technique and further improve its accuracy and reliability.
