摘　　要：2012年中央经济工作会议提出要着力提高城镇化质量,此后各地新型城镇化建设均取得一定的进展,但由于西部地区城镇化建设起步较晚,与东部沿海地区的城镇化建设存在较大差距。文章基于西部八省(市、区) 2012—2021年的省级面板数据,运用熵值法、中介效应、面板门槛模型等方法,对我国西部地区八个省份的新型城镇化质量进行综合评价,系统研究了固定资产投资、区域创新与新型城镇化质量之间的关系,结果表明:固定资产投资的增加能够促进新型城镇化质量的提升;固定资产投资通过提升区域创新水平进而影响新型城镇化质量。基于此,各地推进新型城镇化建设的过程中,要协调好固定资产投资与区域创新之间的关系,以促进我国新型城镇化质量的有效提升,实现经济的高质量发展。In 2012,the Central Economic Work Conference emphasized the need to improve the quality of urbanization.Since then,new urbanization efforts have made some progress across various regions.However,due to the late start of urbanization in the western regions,there is a significant gap compared to the eastern coastal areas.This article uses provincial panel data from eight provinces in the western region from 2012 to 2021,employing methods such as the entropy method,mediation effect,and panel threshold model to comprehensively evaluate the quality of new urbanization in these provinces.It systematically examines the relationship between fixed asset investment,regional innovation,and the quality of new urbanization.The results indicate that increased fixed asset investment can enhance the quality of new urbanization,and it affects this quality by improving regional innovation.Therefore,in advancing new urbanization,it is crucial to coordinate the relationship between fixed asset investment and regional innovation to effectively enhance the quality of new urbanization and achieve high-quality economic development.
