摘　　要：18世纪以前,在苏格兰南部以及苏格兰以外的地区,苏格兰高地人被当作“野蛮人”,是“落后、无知、恶习”的代名词。詹姆斯·麦克弗森一反这种叙事话语,在《莪相集》里呈现了苏格兰高地“高贵的野蛮人”形象,让人们看到凯尔特英雄的浪漫主义气质与欧洲大陆的浪漫主义英雄气质一脉相承。他意在定义这种气质的苏格兰起源,界定其特征,即高贵、善良、宽厚、忧郁,以此呈现并重构苏格兰文学的英雄传统,展现苏格兰英雄的崇高性,继而揭示其民族性和世界性,让世界听到苏格兰的声音,看到苏格兰文学和文化的魅力,尤其是其英雄传统的魅力。Before the 18th century,in southern Scotland and the area outside Scotland,the Highlanders were regarded as“barbarians”,synonymous with“backwardness,ignorance,and vice”.Opposing this narrative discourse,Macpherson presented the Scottish Highlanders’image of“noble barbarian”,notifying people of the romantic temperament of the Celtic heroes that was in line with the romantic heroic temperament of the continental Europe.He intended to define the origin of such temperament in Scotland,as well as its characteristics,namely nobleness,kindness,generosity and melancholy,aiming to exhibit and reconstruct the heroic tradition of Scottish literature,show Scottish heroes’nobility,further reveal their nationality and internationality,and make Scottish voice audible and the charm of Scottish culture and literature visible,especially the charm of its heroic tradition.
