Objective To explore the influence of intestinal microecology on spontaneous abortion. Methods The fecal samples from 20 spontaneous abortion patients and 20 healthy controls were collected. After 16S rRNA gene sequencing, the obtained raw reads underwent quality filtering to obtain the clean tags and then was classified into microbial genomes. All effective tags were clustered into operational taxonomic units(OTUs),and the representative sequence was selected for the annotation of taxonomic information, followed by alpha and beta diversity analyses. Results A total of 4527 OTUs were obtained in all 40 samples. The total community of gut microbiota in the two groups was different, and the bacterial diversity of the intestinal flora in healthy controls was higher than that in the spontaneous abortion patients. The richness of Firmicutes and Actinobacteria was elevated in the spontaneous abortion patients, and that of Bacteroidota was decreased. Conclusion There is obvious intestinal microbiota disorder in spontaneous abortion patients, which plays important roles in the development of abortion.
