民歌发展史与大运河文化场景下的晚清小说《风月梦》价值重估  

Development History of Folk Songs and Value of“A Dream of Romance”in the Late Qing Dynasty in the Context of Grand Canal Culture

摘  要:晚清小说《风月梦》在创作手法和内容呈现、主旨表达等多个方面,均借鉴《红楼梦》,缺少独创性,在固有的文学研究框架内,《风月梦》只能算是二流、三流甚至不入流小说。但是其将民歌作为塑造人物形象、烘托小说氛围、推进情节发展的重要工具,民歌与小说整体契合无间;小说中人物的生活场景又多依托大运河展开,叙事过程中充满了大量鲜活具体的物质和非物质文化内容,因此在民歌发展史和大运河文化研究的场景中予以审视,《风月梦》有着其他文学作品难以比拟的特别价值。The novel“A Dream of Romance”(“Fengyue Meng”)in the late Qing Dynasty draws heavily on“Dream of the Red Chamber”in terms of writing techniques,content presentation,and thematic expression,lacking originality.Within the inherent literary research framework,“A Dream of Romance”can only be regarded a second-rate,third-rate,or even non-mainstream novel.However,it takes folk songs as an important tool for shaping character images,enhancing the novel atmosphere,and promoting plot development,which facilitates the overall harmony between folk songs and the novel.In addition,the life scenes of the characters in the novel are mostly based on the Grand Canal,and the narrative process is filled with a large amount of vivid and concrete material and intangible cultural content.Therefore,“A Dream of Romance”has special value that other literary works can’t match from the perspective of development history of folk songs and in the context of Grand Canal culture.
