摘　　要：Accordingto the United Nations Population Fund's Stateof World Population Report for 2023,India's population is estimated to surpass China's,making India the worlc most populous nation with an estimate population of 1.4286 bllion.While China recorded negative population growth last year,the country's top demographer,Cai Fang,asserted in an Interview with Global Times that the negative population growth does not change China's expectation that it will someday become the world's largest economy.
