Biomediatization is an interdisciplinary concept that frames health journalism as a crucial area of research, introducing "biocommunicability" to emphasize the cultural models of health knowledge production and dissemination. This article first traces the theoretical origins of biomediatization and systematically compares the three models of biocommunicability from the perspectives of knowledge production, communication processes, and health significance. Building on this foundation, the study expands the theoretical framework by examining both the production of knowledge and the practical construction of communication. This includes analyzing boundary practices among different actors, the frameworks of health discourse, and their influence on shaping societal health perceptions. Finally, the paper discusses the broader implications of this theoretical approach for journalism and health communication research.
