外资进入与居民生育意愿:基于CLDS的研究

摘　　要：文章检验了外资进入对居民生育意愿的影响。研究发现,居民生育意愿随外资进入程度的加深而降低,并且外资进入对生育意愿的负面影响主要集中于女性群体。进一步分析发现,外资进入对各年龄段的城市女性均存在显著影响,这一结果表明较低的生育意愿主要是由城市地区的女性推动的。机制检验表明,外资进入通过延缓进入婚姻的年龄和提高个体受教育程度负面影响生育意愿。对于男性而言,外资进入也会延缓其进入婚姻的时间和增加受教育年限,但来自更具性别平等范式国家的外资才会对男性的生育意愿产生更为明显的影响。文章结论为外资进入对东道国居民福利的影响研究补充了微观个体层面的证据。This paper investigates the impact of foreign direct investment(FDI)on fertility intentions of the residents.The research shows that fertility intentions of the residents decrease with the increase of FDI and FDI mainly exerts the negative impact on fertility intentions of the female population.Further analysis reveals that FDI has a significant effect on urban females of all ages,indicating that the lower fertility intentions are mainly driven by females in urban areas.Mechanism test shows that FDI negatively affects fertility intentions by delaying the age of marriage and increasing individual educational level.FDI also delays the age of marriage of males and increases their years of education,but FDI from the countries with a more gender-equitable paradigm will have a more significant effect on fertility intentions of males.The conclusions of the paper provide supplementary evidence at the micro-individual level for the study of the impact of FDI on the welfare of the residents in the host country.
