摘 要:黄河由物质存在沉淀为中华民族的象征,升华成中华民族的根和魂,是观念史的重大问题。先秦黄河印象则是此观念演变的“根和魂”。“河”(黄河)是先秦盟誓的高频词,扮演着见证者、对象、发起者的角色。作为见证者,黄河可敬可畏又长久存在;作为盟誓对象,黄河诚信尚德,重理性;作为发起者,黄河好利贪婪。先秦黄河印象是多维的,或备受尊崇,或备受不满,或饱受质疑,或倍加谦虚。此为现实世界黄河崇拜、理性精神的投影,亦是人们与黄河友好相处、征服斗争的神异化反映。此种原型印象,经过历时书写、记忆,不断被强化被建构,形成了稳定而深厚的中国印象。The Yellow River,transcending its material existence,has solidified into a cultural symbol of the Chinese nation and sublimates into the root and soul of the Chinese nation,which is a pivotal subject in the history of ideas.The impression of the Yellow River in the pre-Qin period constitutes the“root and soul”of this ideological evolution.“River”(Yellow River)is frequently invoked in pre-Qin oaths,serving as witness,object,and initiator.As a witness,the Yellow River is respectable,awesome,and long-standing;as an object of oath,it is sincere,virtuous,and rational;as an initiator,it is good at profit and greed.The impression of the Yellow River in the pre-Qin period was multi-dimensional,encompassing reverence,resentment,skepticism,and humility.This is not only the projection of the worship and rational spirit of the Yellow River in the real world,but also the reflection of God alienation of the friendly coexistence and conquest between people and the Yellow River.This kind of archetypal impression,through the diachronic writing and memory of posterity,has been continuously reinforced and reconstructed,forming a stable and profound impression of China.
