摘　　要：《诺里奇的圣威廉的生平与奇迹》是一部创作时间为十二世纪的圣徒传记,创作地点为英格兰的诺里奇。诺曼王朝对基督教会的管理提供了文本创作的文化土壤,社会的冲突矛盾让犹太人成为民众发泄不满的突破口,为此文本的创作提供了可能的驱动力。作为一本圣徒传记,《诺里奇的圣威廉的生平与奇迹》结合圣经为代表的基督教神学思想,塑造了一位与耶稣相似的圣徒。除此之外,作者托马斯还利用辩论技巧侧面强调了文本记录的真实性,并描绘了主角的亲属与民众与诺里奇的威廉的互动,让圣徒的形象更为立体。该文本是中世纪基督教文学创作历史的缩影,亦蕴含着中世纪英格兰社会历史的诸多细节。The Life and Miracles of St William of Norwich is a hagiography created in the 12th century in Norwich,England.The management of the Christian Church by the Norman Dynasty provided the cultural ground for the creation of the text.Social conflicts and contradictions made the Jews a breakthrough point for the public to vent their dissatisfaction,which provided a possible driving force for the creation of the text.As a hagiography,The Life and Miracles of St William of Norwich combined Christian theological ideas represented by the Bible to create the portrait of a saint who is similar to Jesus.In addition,the author Thomas also used debating techniques to indirectly emphasize the authenticity of the textual record,and depicted the interactions of the protagonist’s relatives,the public,and William of Norwich,making the image of the saint more three-dimensional.The text is a microcosm of the history of medieval Christian literary creation and also contains many details of the social history of medieval England.
