摘  要:为了研究烧结助剂Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)对热压烧结制备的B_(4)C陶瓷的影响,以B_(4)C微粉为原料,以Al_(2)O_(3)+Y_(2)O_(3)原位反应生成的Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)为烧结助剂,在1950℃烧结温度下,采用热压烧结工艺制备出B_(4)C陶瓷,研究Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)添加量对B_(4)C陶瓷物相组成、烧结性能、微观结构和力学性能的影响。研究结果表明:当烧结助剂Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)添加量<7 wt.%时,B_(4)C陶瓷中晶界以B_(4)C-B_(4)C晶粒相连接的清洁晶界和B_(4)C-非晶相Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)-B_(4)C晶界2种形式存在;当烧结助剂Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)添加量≥7 wt.%时,B_(4)C陶瓷中晶界以B_(4)C-B_(4)C晶粒相连接的清洁晶界、B_(4)C-非晶相Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)-B_(4)C晶界和B_(4)C-晶相Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)-B_(4)C晶界3种形式存在;当Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)添加量为7 wt.%时,热压烧结B_(4)C陶瓷的综合性能最佳,即相对密度为96.2%,硬度为20.9 GPa,抗弯强度为455 MPa,断裂韧性为3.53 MPa·m 1/2;烧结助剂Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)通过改变热压烧结B_(4)C陶瓷的气孔率、晶粒尺寸和晶界特征影响B_(4)C陶瓷的力学性能。To investigate the effect of Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)sintering additive on B_(4)C ceramics prepared by hot-press sintering,B_(4)C ceramics are prepared using B_(4)C powders as the raw material and Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)generated from the in-situ reaction between Al_(2)O_(3)and Y_(2)O_(3) as the sintering additive by hot-press sintering process at the sintering temperature of 1950℃.The effects of different contents of Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)sintering additive on the phase composition,sintering properties,microstructure,and mechanical properties of B_(4)C ceramics are studied.The results show that the grain boundaries in the B_(4)C ceramics exist in two forms of B_(4)C-B_(4)C clean grain boundaries and B_(4)C-amorphous Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)-B_(4)C grain boundaries when the content of Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)sintering additive is less than 7 wt.%,and the grain boundaries in the B_(4)C ceramics exist in three forms of B_(4)C-B_(4)C clean grain boundaries,B_(4)C-amorphous Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)-B_(4)C grain boundaries and B 4 C-crystallised Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)-B_(4)C grain boundaries when the content of Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)sintering additive is more than or equal to 7 wt.%.When the content of Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)sintering additive is 7 wt.%,the best properties of B_(4)C ceramics are achieved by hot-press sintering.The relative density,Vickers hardness,bending strength,and fracture toughness of B_(4)C ceramics are 96.2%,20.9 GPa,455 MPa,and 3.53 MPa·m 1/2,respectively.The Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12)sintering additive affects the mechanical properties of B_(4)C ceramics prepared by hot press sintering by altering their porosity,grain size,and grain boundary characteristics.
