摘　　要：新时代图书馆的高质量可持续发展呼唤社会对图书馆社会职能与社会价值的全新认识。通过深入分析习近平总书记重要讲话、《中华人民共和国公共图书馆法》、联合国相关文件、《公共图书馆宣言》等重要文件发现,新时代图书馆具有文化职能、民主职能和教育职能的社会职能,在促进社会文明进步、保障社会公平正义、促进全民终身学习方面发挥了重要社会价值。The high-quality and sustainable development of libraries in the new era calls for a renewed societal understanding of their social functions and values.Through in-depth analysis of key documents such as the important speeches by General Secretary Xi Jinping,the Public Libraries Law of the People's Republic of China,relevant United Nations documents,and the Public Library Manifesto,it is found that libraries in the new era possess social functions including cultural,democratic,and educational roles.They play significant social values in promoting social and civilizational progress,safeguarding social equity and justice,and fostering lifelong learning for all.
