摘　　要：General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized,‘On the day of its founding,the Communist Party of China(CPC)began its struggle for democracy and human rights,taking the clear stance that it would strive to save the nation and the people and wage a fight for human rights.’1The century-long history of the Party’s struggle is marked by the Party’s eff orts to unite the people and lead them in their relentless pursuit of democracy and human rights,resulting in signifi cant theoretical achievements in the new era,such as the development of whole-process people’s democracy and unswerving adherence to China’s path of human rights development.Whole-process people’s democracy and China’s path of human rights development are essentially consistent,emphasizing respect for the principal position of the people,pursuing the well-rounded and free development of individuals,and safeguarding the historical process of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
