摘　　要：2010年3月,湘西土家族苗族自治州文物管理局和永顺县文物管理局联合组成考古队,对羊峰古城遗址进行了考古调查和试掘工作,旨在了解其形制、年代、性质和保存状况。在此次考古过程中,发现了古城遗址的城墙、城壕、城门和道路等遗迹,出土了砖、瓦、瓷片、陶片、钱币、动物骨骼等遗物。经调查表明,羊峰古城具有一定规模,保存状况较好,有可能是明朝初年中央王朝在永顺土司腹地设置的羊山卫。该发现对研究湘西地区卫所设置以及朝廷在少数民族地区的统治和控制具有重要价值。In March,2010,Cultural Relics Administration Bureau of Xiangxi Tujiazu and Miaozu Autonomous Prefecture and Yongshun County Administrative Bureau of Cultural Relics formed a joint archaeological team to conduct archaeological investigation and trial excavation of the Yangfeng Ancient City site in an attempt to learn about its shape,age,nature and preservation status.During this archaeological process,remains of the city walls,moats,gates and roads were found,and bricks,tiles,porcelain and pottery shards,coins,animal bones and other relics were unearthed.The investigation shows that Yangfeng Ancient City is of certain size and in good preservation condition.It is possible that this is the Yangshan Fortress set up in the hinterland of Yongshun Tusi domain by the central court in the early Ming Dynasty.This discovery is of great value to the study of the establishment of fortresses in western Hunan and the rule and control of the imperial court in minority areas.
