Brief Report on the 2021 Excavation of Early Ming City Wall Brick Kilns at Yaolongpo of Zhongfang County in Hunan Province

摘　　要：2021年5~12月,为配合怀化市高新区工业园?水路建设,湖南省文物考古研究所组织考古队对窑窿坡明初城墙砖官窑遗址进行了系统性考古勘探和部分发掘,清理城墙砖砖窑15座,出土城墙砖950块及大量窑工所用日用生活器具,对研究明洪武时期城墙砖生产、社会组织提供了新的考古学材料。本简报特将本次发掘过程中9座窑址及部分出土遗物材料予以介绍。From May to December 2021,in order to cooperate with the construction of Wushui Road in Huaihua High-tech District Industrial Park,Hunan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology organized an archaeological team to carry out systematic archaeological survey and partial excavation of the early Ming Dynasty city wall brick kilns at Yaolongpo,cleaned up 15 city wall brick kilns,and unearthed 950 city wall bricks and a large number of daily living utensils used by kiln workers,which have provided new archaeological materials for the study of the production and social organization of city wall bricks in the Hongwu reign period of the Ming Dynasty.This brief report will introduce the 9 kiln sites and some relic materials unearthed during the excavation.
