摘　　要：严耕望是研究中古政治制度与地理的历史学者。他对历史材料的征引和擅长使其能够从文学地理学的视域对中古时期的朝代兴衰有所洞察。“审名实、重佐证”的致思理路令其行文善于以原始史料检查学术问题。《治史三书》是其治学经验及甘苦体悟的集合,内容涉及“点面结合”“专博兼具”的治史原则、论题选择与材料征引的方法论、从师问学的行谊述略等方面,以严明逻辑细作寻绎。论究考察该书可从历史学人经验与学理的交叠互涉中,窥见学术研究的通路。Yan Gengwang has demonstrated exceptional academic insight in the study of medieval political systems and historical geography,establishing a distinctive scholarly paradigm.Central to his approach is the integration of"point and surface,"through which he meticulously explores the inherent tension between"specialization"and"comprehensive knowledge,"revealing both the systemic nature and practical application of historical research.He advocates for a meticulous examination of primary sources and the innovative interpretation of historical data to build the unique academic value.The Three Books on Historical Study not only encapsulates his historiographical expertise but also provides significant scholarly norms and paradigms for future researchers.Furthermore,Yan Gengwang's academic journey,deeply influenced by his mentor Qian Mu's exemplary conduct,has shaped his integrative scholarly approach across historical eras.This work represents both a profound reconciliation of historiographical principles and a remarkable embodiment of the spirit of historical study.
