146.09 HV。Thermodynamic calculations and DSC experiments on cast Cu-Fe alloys with different Fe contents were carried out by JmatPro software and differential scanning calorimetry. The study investigated the effects of Fe content on the solidification process and the evolution of the as-cast microstructure of Cu-Fe alloys, and to determine the microhardness of Cu-Fe alloys. The results show that when the Fe content is 5%,20%,40%and 50%,respectively,with the increase of Fe content, the temperature of liquid-solid transition(δ-Fe+L→γ-Fe)of Cu-Fe alloy increases from 1201.4°C to 1440.0°C,the enthalpy generated by liquid-solid transition during solidification decreases, and the enthalpy generated by encapsulation reaction and eutectic reaction increases. As the Fe content increases, the as-cast organization of the alloy is transformed from fine cytosolic crystals to developed equiaxed grain with a more uniform distribution, and the size of the primary Fe phase is increased. The microhardness of the as-cast alloy increases from 87.34 HV to 146.09 HV as the Fe content increases from 5%to 50%.
