摘  要:当代美国戏剧家爱德华·阿尔比在《三臂人》中运用的非自然叙事策略彰显了其一贯的创作风格及其批判精神。剧作以脱口秀节目形式还原社会文化语境,展现主讲人himself因“第三只手臂”而走红的娱乐成名史,沦为消费卖点、失去主体性的非自然角色以及追捧奇观、有违道德的非自然情感,均为剧作家对消费时代大众偶像建构的一次戏剧性检验。阿尔比通过非自然的身体将消费文化病征具象于戏剧舞台,himself的畸变被神化的过程恰恰反映了20世纪中后期美国社会价值观的异化,凸显作家对主体迷失与重建的思考,畸形器官再度出现的循环结局则向观众和读者留下深刻诘问,呼唤时代价值定力与理想道德坐标的重塑。The unnatural narrative strategies used by the contemporary American dramatist Edward Albee in The Man Who Had Three Arms demonstrate his consistent writing style and critical spirit.Albee restores the media cultural context through the form of talk show,narrates an unnatural event of“himself”being famous for“the third arm”and describes an unnatural character who has lost his subjectivity because of becoming a selling point,expressing a series of unnatural emotions against ethics.It is a dramatic test for the construction of public idols in the consumption era.Albee's unnatural narrative strategies reify disease symptoms of consumption culture on the drama stage.The process that distorts“himself”is deified,reflecting the alienation of the 20th century American social values,and reveals the author's reflection on the loss and reconstruction of the subject.The cyclic ending which is the recurrence of deformed organs leaves a profound question for the audience and readers,calling for the reshaping of the value judgement and ideal moral coordinates.
