摘 要:纳博科夫小说《微暗的火》由四个部分构成,分别为前言、《微暗的火》(一首四个篇章的长诗)、评注和索引。基于热奈特的类文本理论,小说《微暗的火》中的前言作为开篇之作,具有不可忽视的作用。它从形式上看是类文本,但因为归属于小说的四部分之一,理应具有文本的特征。通过分析前言的类文本类型和前言作者金波特的身份,能够窥探小说文本的潜藏意蕴。金波特表面上是一位代书式真实前言作者,却因为叙述内容的不断细化和详尽,反倒暴露出虚构前言作者的诸多特点。以“前言”的叙事方式窥探《微暗的火》,可以发现小说反映了一种虚构的真实,即一种能在不断地自我描述与积累中所折射的真实——艺术的真实。Pale Fire consists of four parts:foreword,Pale Fire(a poem in four cantos),commentary and index.From the perspective of Genette's paratext theory,the foreword,as the opening of the novel,plays an important role in it.It is a paratext in form,but because of its status as a part of the novel,it also has the characteristics of a text.Thus,by analyzing the paratextual type of the foreword and the identity of the foreword's writer—Kinbote,the significance of the novel can be explored.Ostensibly,Kinbote is an authentic allographic preface writer,but due to the constant corrections and detailedness,his narration discloses many characteristics of fictive preface,so as to reflect a kind of fictive truth,that is,a kind of truth reflected in the accumulation of constant self-description—a“truth of art”.
