中医古籍国际传播的符号学机制——基于《黄帝内经素问》威斯英译本的案例分析

摘　　要：近年来,中医古籍如何走向世界成为学界关注的热点,而其微观层面的翻译传播机理尚未厘清。本文选取《黄帝内经素问》威斯英译本进行个案研究,基于符号学理论视角,探讨《黄帝内经素问》在英语世界的翻译传播过程和认同机制。中医古籍翻译传播是意义流动的过程,经历了意图意义、译本意义与解释意义交替变化的三个阶段。为了确保中医古籍文本意图意义的准确和有效传达,中西学者合作翻译成为必然选择。处于译本边缘的引言、插图、注释、参考文献等伴随文本参与核心译本意义的构建。译本的国际认同有赖于读者先前的中医经验。上述研究成果既是对符号学理论解释边界的拓展,也是在讲好中国故事背景下对中医药古籍翻译传播理论规律挖掘的新探索。In recent years,how ancient Chinesemedical texts go global has become a hot topic in academic community,but the micro-level dissemination mechanism of translation has not yet been clarified.This article explores the dissemination process and mechanism of identity recognition of Huangdi Neijing Suwen in the English-speaking world through the lens of semiotic theory.The English translation of Huangdi Neijing Suwen by Ilza Veith is used as a case study.The international dissemination of ancient Chinesemedical texts can be understood as a process of meaning flow,which unfolds in three stages:intentional meaning,translated meaning,and interpreted meaning.In pursuit of accurate and effective transmission of the intended meaning of the original texts,the translation of ancient Chinese medical texts should be a collaborative effort between Chinese and Westernscholars.Prefaces,illustrations,annotations,references and other co-texts play a crucial role in constructing the core meaning of the translation.The international acceptance of the translation relies on the reader's prior experience with Chinesemedicine.The above research findings not only expand the explanatory boundaries of semiotic theory,but also represent a new exploration into the principles of the translation and dissemination of ancient Chinesemedical texts in the context of telling China's story well.
