人勤地利,农史新作——评《人勤地利:明清太湖地区农业史》

摘　　要：21世纪以来,太湖地区农业史研究相对沉寂,学术论著明显减少,惠富平等所著《人勤地利:明清太湖地区农业史》一书的出版对于接续前辈学者的研究成果,推进新时代的区域农业史研究具有重要价值。该书以明清太湖地区的农业生产与生态技术体系为主要研究对象,对很多问题的探索值得重视和肯定。书中指出“地利”是农民面临沉重的生存压力而辛勤劳作的结果,深入分析了“人勤”背后的技术经济逻辑与社会效益,有助于人们理解农民选择如何造就了当地独特的农业生产与生态模式。书中还采用大量图片资料和新技术手段(GIS),显示出太湖地区作物生产的技术场景及地理分布等历史信息,以便读者对当地农业变迁的时空过程形成直观认识。Since the 21st century,the study of agricultural history in Taihu Lake area has been relatively silent,and the number of academic works has obviously decreased.The publication of Hui Fuping and others'book“Human Diligence and Land Utilization:Agricultural History in Taihu Lake Area in Ming and Qing Dynasties”is of great value for continuing the previous scholars'draft of agricultural history in Taihu Lake area and promoting the study of regional agricultural history in the new era.This book takes the agricultural production and ecological technology system in Taihu Lake area in Ming and Qing Dynasties as the main research object,and the exploration of many problems deserves attention and affirmation.For example,the book points out that“geographical location”is the result of farmers'hard work in the face of heavy survival pressure,and deeply analyzes the economic logic behind“human diligence”,which helps people understand how farmers choose to shape the local agricultural economic model.Moreover,the book uses a large number of pictures and new technical means(GIS)to show the historical information such as the technical scene and geographical distribution of crop production in Taihu Lake area,so that readers can form an intuitive understanding of the temporal and spatial process of local agricultural production changes.
