A Review of Research on the Japanese Concession in Modern China

摘　　要：随着档案史料和海外史料的发掘,中国学界对近代租界的研究不断深入。关于日本在华租界,学界在1949年前就有关注,1949年后对上海、天津、汉口的日租界一直都有关注。2000年前后,相关的课题立项及研究成果明显增加。从研究内容上看,可以分为三大脉络:一是政治和外交史视野下的研究,包括日租界的形成与扩张研究、日租界收回、日租界与日本侵华战争等;二是城市史视野下的研究,侧重于日租界的经济变迁、文化教育、市政及公用事业、社会管理及控制等议题;三是日侨社会视野下的日租界社区、日侨观念及侨民生活等相关主题研究。以国别论,中国与日本学界的关注立场、问题及史料来源都存在明显差异。With the excavation of archival and overseas historical materials,the research on modern concessions in the Chinese academic community continues to deepen.Regarding Japan's concessions in China,there was attention before 1949,and after 1949,there has been attention to Shanghai,Tianjin,and Hankou.Around 2000,there was a significant increase in project proposals and research achievements related to this topic.From the perspective of research content,it can be divided into three main threads:first,research from the perspective of political and diplomatic history,including research on the formation and expansion of the Japanese Concession,the recovery of the Japanese Concession,the Japanese Concession and the Japanese invasion of China,etc;The second is research from the perspective of urban history,focusing on issues such as economic changes,cultural education,municipal and public utilities,social management and control in the Japanese Concession;The third is the research on topics related to the Japanese concession community,the concept of Japanese immigrants,and the lives of overseas Chinese from the perspective of Japanese immigrant society.On a national level,there are significant differences in the academic perspectives,issues,and sources of historical materials between China and Japan.
