摘　　要：四川博物院收藏了一本两万两千余字的敦煌石窟考察笔记手稿,记录榆林窟和莫高窟共222个洞窟。经研究认为,此手稿为张大千1941年的敦煌石窟考察笔记,其中榆林窟记录为张大千对周炳南官厅调查记录的运用和续写。莫高窟所用石窟编号实为张大千对莫高窟的首次编号,即“临时编号”。张大千敦煌石窟考察记录,对促进敦煌石窟的研究必然会有积极意义。Sichuan Museum has a work notebook that once belonged to Zhang Daqian while he was conducting an investigation of ancient Dunhuang that was donated to the museum by his family.The handwritten notes,which contain a total of over 22,o00 words,concern the numbering of caves,descriptions of murals,value judgments of contemporary society,and artistic reviews of the Mogao Grottoes and the Yulin Grottoes.This document is of particular value for studying the historical facts about Zhang Daqian's Dunhuang cave investigation and the ancient system used to number and catalogue caves.The research conducted by the author suggests that records about the Yulin Grottoes contained in the document are actually an application and extension of the Official Investigation Form and the"official numbering"system created by Zhou Binnan.The notes about the Mogao Grottoes provide important evidence of the application of Zhang Daqian's practice of numbering the Mogao Caves,and also bear testimony to some of the historical events recorded in Zhang Daqian's Journey to Dunhuang by Zhang Xinzhi.In addition,this book is also a critical source of evidence for understanding the textual relationship that exists between Zhang Daqian's Records of the Mogao Grottoes and Xie Zhiliu's Description of Dunhuang Art,and also serves to supplement and correct several conclusions that Zhang Baozhou came to regarding the records of the caves left by Zhang Daqian and Xie Zhiliu.
