摘　　要：时钟是人类的伟大发明,它在帮助人们具象感知时间的同时,以更精确的方式表征时间,提升时间管理的精细度和可控性,进而推动人类社会发展。广钟是中西方科技、文化和艺术融合的产物,在计时工具之外,工匠赋予它们丰富的艺术价值和文化内涵。“璀璨时光——清代广钟精品展”关注广钟的多元面向和当代价值:一是文物本体集中国清代工艺美术之大成,是当时“工匠精神”的重要代表;二是中华文明对时代“先进技术”的消化吸收和创新创造所昭示的先因后创、锐意创新的“中国智造”的早期面向;三是中西方相向而行的文明交流互鉴所造就的宝贵文化遗产。The clock is a great human invention.It helps people to perceive time in a more precise way,realize fine and controllable time management,and promote the development of human society.The Guangzhou clock is a product that fuses Chinese and Western science,culture,and art.Beyond being timing tools,they were endowed with rich artistic values and cultural connotations."Timeless Masterpieces:the Exquisite Guangzhou Clock of the Qing Dynasty"focuses on the multi-facets and contemporary values of the Guangzhou clock.First,as cultural relics,the clocks embody the great achievements of Chinese arts and crafts in the Qing dynasty and are an important representative of the"Spirit of Craftsmanship"at that time.Second,they illustrate Chinese civilization's absorption of"advanced technology"and the early development of innovation and creation in intelligent manufacturing in China".And third,they stand as the precious cultural heritage resulted from the mutual learning and exchange of different civilizations.
