摘　　要：16—17世纪,贝宁王国宫廷制作了近千件浮雕铜饰板。它们按照一定的顺序镶嵌在宫殿墙壁和回廊木柱上,作为国王朝会和举办重大仪式庆典时的陪衬。其中,一部分浮雕饰板记录了贝宁王国的历史事件和胜利的战争;另一部分则描绘了贝宁王国的宫廷生活和宗教仪式。通过研究浮雕图像的内容可以发现,铜饰板是回顾和重建贝宁历史、宣扬“王权”的艺术工具,其在贝宁王国的政治结构、信仰系统和外交政策中具有鲜明的导向性,这种艺术形式本身所包含的历史信息和时代风格可以为更全面地了解贝宁王国提供参考。In the 16th and 17th centuries,the court of the Kingdom of Benin produced nearly a thousand copper relief plates that were mounted by an order on the walls of the palace and on the huge wooden columns supporting the cloisters.They were used as a foil during dynasty meetings and major ceremonial celebrations.Some of these reliefs record the historical events of the Kingdom of Benin and commemorate victorious wars,and the rest are depictions of court life and religious ceremonies of the kingdom.Through interpreting the relief images,this paper seeks to reveal the clear intention of these decorative copper panels as an artistic tool to review and reconstruct history and promote"royal power"in the political structure,belief system,and foreign policy of the kingdom.It also analyzes the historical traditions and stylistic changes of decorative copper panels,offering insights that contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the Kingdom of Benin.
