The study focuses on the reconstruction project of an arterial highway in Hebei Province, and proposes a method for investigating energy consumption at each stage of asphalt pavement construction based on life cycle assessment.By conducting a systematic investigation of the asphalt pavement construction project, data on resource consumption, energy usage, and pollutant emissions at each stage will be obtained for environmental impact analysis. The results show that CO 2 is the most significant pollutant emitted during the construction of asphalt pavement, with the raw material production stage and the asphalt mixture mixing stage contributing the most. The primary environmental impacts associated with asphalt pavement construction are GWP,POCP,and AP,with the GWP occupying the largest share of the total environmental impact.Additionally, the raw material production stage has the largest environmental impact, followed by the mixing stage.Reducing energy consumption and pollutant emissions in these stages will be key to minimizing the environmental impact across the entire life cycle of asphalt pavement construction.
