摘 要:科马克·麦卡锡的作品《长路》对生态危机的极致书写为人称道,语象叙事是其中关键的创作手法。麦卡锡以语象叙事创设场景,通过末日世界荒蛮景观、工业文明废弃物以及去人类中心共生景观,构筑起独特的叙事时空,赋予小说浓厚的生态伦理意蕴和审美价值。作为审视麦卡锡后期创作转型的重要切入路径,语象叙事呼应了当代美国南方生态环境日趋恶化的危机现实,巧妙埋设了作家本人对人类中心主义、科技至上观、异化的消费主义等环境危机根源的指涉与批判。Cormac McCarthy's work,The Road,is acclaimed for its profound depiction of the ecological crisis,in which ekphrasis is a key writing technique.McCarthy makes use of ekphrasis to create scenes and constructs a unique narrative space-time through the post-apocalyptic barbaric landscapes,the remnants of industrial civilization,and the symbiotic landscapes of de-anthropocentricity,imbuing the novel with rich ecological ethical implications and aesthetic value.As an important entry point for examining the transformation in McCarthy's later works,ekphrastic narrative resonates with the crisis of the increasingly deteriorating ecological environment in contemporary American South.It skillfully embeds the author's own references to and critiques of the root causes of environmental crises,such as anthropocentrism,technocratic supremacy,and alienated consumerism.
