Objective:To apply the multi-disciplinary treatment(MDT)grid based vessel catheter associated infection(VCAI)control system based on evidence-based theory to clinical work and evaluate its application effect. Methods:The MDT grid based VCAI control system constructed was applied to train medical staff and conduct control. The mastery of VCAI related knowledge of medical staff on patients, standardized infection prevention measures implementation rate of medical staff on patients, and VCAI incidence rate of patients before and after the application of this system were compared. Results:After application, the assessment scores of VCAI related knowledge for doctors were higher than before application, the assessment scores of VCAI related knowledge for nurses were also higher than before application. The implementation rate of standardized infection prevention measures of medical staff on patients has been improved, the incidence of VCAI among all patients in the hospital decreased from 0.0939%to 0.0107%,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Applying the MDT grid based VCAI management system based on evidence-based theory to clinical can reduce the incidence of VCAI and ensure patient safety.
