摘　　要：莱昂内尔·罗伊·麦克考文一生致力于英国公共图书馆事业,并在数十年的实践与工作中形成了其儿童图书馆学理论,即重视儿童阅读、提出儿童馆藏选择标准、深化儿童阅读活动、重视馆校合作、提出儿童图书馆建筑与布局标准,在行动中诠释了儿童图书馆服务理念,又在实践中不断升华与丰富了自己的儿童图书馆学思想,为英国儿童图书馆事业做出了巨大贡献,对现今的儿童图书馆工作仍有重要的参考和借鉴意义。Lionel Roy McColvin devoted his life to the development of British public libraries,and formed his own theory of children's library science in decades of practice and work,that is,attaching importance to children's reading,proposing standards for the selection of children's collections,deepening children's reading activities,emphasizing cooperation between libraries and schools,and proposing standards for the construction and layout of children's libraries.He interprets the concept of children's library service in action,and continuously sublimates and enriches his own thought of children s library science in practice.He has made great contributions to the development of children's library in the UK,and still has important reference significance for children' s library work today.
