摘 要:以共享愉悦为契机,谱写共同体华章,这是18世纪以降英国文学中的一个重要传统。这一传统中有沙夫茨伯里和沃斯通克拉夫特播下的“共情”种子,更有华兹华斯等数代优秀文学家的不懈努力。在他们的笔下,共享愉悦是共同体愿景的一块重要拼图。虽然早在亚里士多德和贺拉斯那里,共享愉悦学说的种子就已埋下,但若少了本文所探讨的文学家们,这种子恐怕很难生根发芽,更长不成参天大树。Ever since the 18 th century,it has been a vital tradition in English literature to imagine communities by way of portraying communal pleasure.The development of the tradition is indebted to the seeds of“sensus communis”as sown by Shaftesbury and Wollstonecraft,and to the constant efforts by generations of outstanding literati such as William Wordsworth.In their visions communal pleasure is an indispensable jigsaw of an ideal community.Although the idea of communal pleasure was laid long ago,just like a seed,in the theories of such early scholars as Aristotle and Horace,it would hardly have taken root and burgeoned forth,let alone growing into a towering tree,without the contribution from the literati discussed by the present paper.
