摘　　要：费尔南·布罗代尔的《地中海与菲利普二世时代的地中海世界》是法国年鉴学派的代表作,在世界范围内有着广泛的影响力,这部作品不仅旁征博引,也蕴含了布罗代尔对于总体史、长时段、历史学与社会科学结合等一系列新思想。但它在美国史学界却遭到了不少批评和冷遇,即便作为畅销书获得了美国大众读者的肯定,它与美国传统史学方法的激烈冲突还是阻碍了布罗代尔的史学思想在大洋彼岸得到认可。不过,还是有一些美国史学家吸收了其中的史学方法,并以此为思想资源推动了美国全球史的发展。The Mediterranean and the Mediterranean World in the Age of Phil-ip Iby Fernand Braudel is the representative work of the Annales School,which has a wide influence in the world.This work is not only inclusive in historical da-ta,but also contains a series of new thoughts about the total history,longue durée,and the combination of history and social science.However,The Mediterranean has met with a lot of criticism,even though it has won the affirmation of the Amer-ican public as a bestseller.The fierce conflict with the traditional American histor-ical methods has prevented Braudel's historical thought from being recognized in American academia.However,there are still some American historians who ab-sorb the historical methods in this book and use them as ideological resources to promote the development of American global history.
