摘 要:普陀山的佛教化和佛教的普陀山化是中国佛教史上重要的社会文化现象。普陀山佛教自其形成开始,即有着自己的实践特色和发展路径,并在后世佛教中国化的过程中建构出深刻而具有广泛影响的“南海观音”这一宗教信仰及社会文化符号,得到社会主流价值和大众心理的普遍认同。在佛教中国化过程中出现的普陀山模式,有着丰富的内容。在本质上,普陀山佛教是佛教信仰及其文化形态与中国文化及海洋文明相结合的产物,是一种在海洋文明影响下或说是与海洋环境相结合的一种具有区域性特征的中国佛教形态。The Sinicization of Buddhism at Mount Putuo and the Putuo-ization of Buddhism are important sociocultural phenomena in the history of Chinese Buddhism.Since its inception,Buddhism at Mount Putuo has had its own distinctive practices and development trajectory.It has constructed the profound and widely influential religious belief and sociocultural symbol of“South Sea Guanyin”during the process of Buddhist Sinicization in later generations,gaining widespread recognition in mainstream society and popular psychology.The Putuo model that emerged during the Sinicization of Buddhism has rich content.Essentially,Buddhism at Mount Putuo is a product of the integration of Buddhist beliefs and cultural forms with Chinese culture and maritime civilization.It is a regional form of Chinese Buddhism that is influenced by maritime civilization or,more precisely,is integrated with the maritime environment.
