On Zhou Enlai’s Contribution to the Convocation of the Zunyi Meeting and the Victory of the Long March

摘　　要：遵义会议是中国共产党在生死存亡关头召开的一次具有伟大转折意义的会议。遵义会议及其前后系列会议的召开与伟大转折的实现,离不开周恩来在会议前后起的难以替代的重要作用。遵义会议前,周恩来三次主持中央会议,为遵义会议成功召开奠定基础和做了组织准备;在遵义会议及其会后的三次重要会议上,周恩来为毛泽东成为党和红军的实际领导核心,起了重大作用。在过草地前后,他与张国焘展开尖锐斗争;到陕北后,他参与指挥直罗镇战役和迅速纠正“肃反”错误,使党中央奠基西北;三大主力红军胜利会师后,他指导土地革命战争最后一战山城堡战役,为红军长征的最后胜利作出了重要贡献。The Zunyi Meeting,held at a critical moment of the Party,is a meeting of historic significance for the Party.The Meeting along with a series of meetings around it contributed the great turning point,which was in⁃debted to the irreplaceable role played by Zhou Enlai.Before the Zunyi Meeting,Zhou Enlai chaired three central committee meetings,which laid a good foundation and made organizational preparations for the successful conven⁃ing of the conference.On the meeting and the three subsequent sessions,Zhou played a pivotal role in establishing Mao Zedong’s core leadership in the Party and the Red Army.Prior to and after crossing the grasslands,he fought resolutely against Zhang Guotao.After arriving at northern Shaanxi,he participated in commanding the Zhiluo Town Campaign and corrected timely the mistakes in the movement to“eliminate counter-revolutionaries”,laying the groundwork for the Party Central Committee to establish its stronghold in the northwest.After the three main troops of the Red Army joined forces,Zhou commanded the Shanchengbao Campaign,the last battle in the Agrari⁃an Revolutionary War,making an indelible contribution to the ultimate victory of the Red Army’s Long March.
