摘　　要：文章回溯了建于1884年的上海天后宫的历史变迁过程,聚焦20世纪70年代末与2022年的两次迁建实践,探讨其中所体现出来的不同时代文化遗产保护方式和价值认知的发展,并结合中外文物保护法规和宪章,以及上海相关案例,审视“迁建”这一特殊保护方式的演进。文章提出,一方面,天后宫的两次迁建对文物建筑的完整性与真实性造成了负面影响,但另一方面,从历史环境中抽离的建筑嵌入到新的环境后,也参与建构了新的文化意义。记录与解读天后宫变迁的目的,在于让我们更好地理解我们的城市文化遗产在百余年来所经历的文脉断裂与意义重构,理解当下城市文化遗产保护工程面临的局限与挑战。This article reviews the historical trasformation of Shanghai’s Tianhou Temple(Temple of the Queen of Heaven)built in 1884 by focusing on the two relocation projects in the late 1970s and 2022,respectively,in terms of the changing conservation methods and value perceptions of urban cultural heritage from different historical periods.It further scrutinises the evolution of‘relocation’as a particular conservation approach through appraising Chinese and international conservation legislation and charters and relevant cases in Shanghai.The article argues that,although the two relocation projects had certain negative impacts on the integrity and authenticity of Tianhou Temple,they contributed to the reconstruction of new cultural meanings by extracting the historic buildings from their original context and embedding them into a new environment.Documenting and interpreting these changes enable us to better understand the disruption of cultural contexts and the reconstruction of meanings experienced by urban heritage over the past century,and to understand the constraints and challenges of cultural heritage conservation projects in contemporary urban contexts.
