Brief Report on the Excavation of the Northeast Corner Tower at the Qingshiling Hill-top City,Gaizhou City,Liaoning

摘　　要：2019~2020年,中国社会科学院考古研究所等单位对辽宁盖州市青石岭山城东北角楼进行了考古调查和发掘。东北角楼位于东城墙和北城墙连接处,主要包括角楼基础、西侧土石混筑护坡、南侧石砌护坡、西北侧马道、东北侧护坡等。在角楼及其附近发现大量瓦件、铁器、陶器、木炭、红烧土和火烧痕迹等,推断东北角楼原来应有木结构建筑,屋顶使用了瓦件。在对高句丽地层土样浮选中发现了丰富的植物遗存,包括炭化栗、稗、红小豆、小麦、狗尾草、马唐草、樱桃核、栎果壳碎片等,为探索当时的气候、植被等方面情况提供了重要资料。根据发掘结果推断,东北角楼建筑始建于高句丽晚期,毁于火灾,可能与唐朝和高句丽的战争有关。From 2019 to 2020,the Institute of Archaeology,Chinese Academy of Social Sciences et al.conducted archaeological surveys and excavations at the northeast corner tower of the Qingshiling hill-top city in Gaizhou City,Liaoning Province.The northeast corner tower is located at the junction of the eastern and northern city walls and mainly includes the tower's foundation,a mixed earth and stone slope protection on the west side,a stone slope protection on the south side,a ramp on the northwest side,and a slope protection on the northeast side.Numerous artifacts were discovered in and around the corner tower,including roof tiles,iron objects,pottery,charcoal,red burnt earth,and firing traces,suggesting that the original structure was a wooden building with a tiled roof.The flotation of soil samples from the Goguryeo strata revealed a wealth of plant remains,including charred millet,barnyard grass,red beans,wheat,foxtail grass,crabgrass,cherry pits,and oak shell fragments.These findings provide important information for reconstructing the climate and vegetation of the time.Based on the excavation results,it is inferred that the northeast corner tower was built during the late Goguryeo period and was destroyed by fire,possibly in connection with the wars between the Tang Dynasty and Goguryeo.
