摘  要:The maximal force a muscle can exert depends on its length,which has been explained by the sliding filament theory on the sarcomere level.1 A longer muscle can act over a greater range of motion and has more sarcomeres in series,which increases its capacity to produce force at a specific muscle contraction velocity because each sarcomere contracts at a lower velocity.
