摘　　要：英国作家毛姆以法国后印象派画家保罗·高更为原型创作了长篇小说《月亮与六便士》,小说塑造了离经叛道的主人公打破道德的重重枷锁,为了心中的追求,他辗转多地最终在塔希提岛上找到了自己灵魂的栖息之处。经历了新世纪期望幻灭的毛姆寄希望于一座远离物质社会的原始乐土,表达了对当时普遍存在的虚假的社会共同体的焦虑和怀疑。毛姆笔下的家园不仅仅是一个简单的地理概念,更是被赋予了精神内涵的归属之地,表现了毛姆对理想的人类家园的书写,反映了作家对理想共同体的探索。Based on the life experience of the French post-impressionist painter Paul Gauguin,William Somerset Maugham wrote the novel The Moon and Sixpence,which portrays a rebellious hero who breaks the shackles of morality,searches around a lot,and eventually finds his ideal homeland in Tahiti.Disillusioned by the new century,Maugham pinned his hopes on a primordial paradise far from material society and expressed his anxiety and doubts about the false social community that prevailed at the time.The homeland in Maugham’s writing is not only a simple geographical concept,but also a place of belonging endowed with spiritual connotation,which represents Maugham’s writing on the ideal human homeland,and reflects the writer’s exploration of the ideal community.
