连城南山书院初探

摘　　要：培田的南山书院是清代连城境域的优质乡村书院,其由吴姓十五世裔吴镛于乾隆年间在明代石头丘草堂基础上扩建而成,并延续至清末改为培田两等小学堂。书院办学经费主要来源于培田吴姓之“衍庆堂”每年所拨租谷,不足部分由南村公祠尝田补充,其后“衍庆堂”后裔及吴姓族人不断捐献田产租谷,确保办学经费充裕。南山书院延名师掌教,邱振芳、曾瑞春、郑仰虞、吴茂林等曾充掌教或主讲,为培田及周边汀连境域培养了一批又一批优秀人才。Nanshan Academy in Peitian Village was an excellent rural academy in the territory of Liancheng County dur-ing the Qing Dynasty.It was expanded by Wu Yong,the 15th generation descendant of the Wu family,during the Qianlong pe-riod based on the Shitouqiu Thatched Cottage of the Ming Dynasty and continued until the end of the Qing Dynasty when it was changed into"Peitian Two-level Primary School".The main source of the operating funds for the academy was the annual allocation of rent grains from the"Yanqing Hall"of the Wu family in Peitian Village.The shortfall is supplemented by the proceeds from the communal ancestral hall's land holdings in the Nancun village.Later,the descendants of the"Yanqing Hall"and the Wu family continuously donated farmland and rent grains to ensure sufficient operating funds.Nanshan Acade-my invited renowned scholars to preside over teaching,with Qiu Zhenfang,Zeng Ruichun,Zheng Yangyu,Wu Maolin,and others serving as headmasters or main lecturers,cultivating batches of outstanding talents for Peitian and the surrounding Tin-glian territory.
