摘 要:改错是一种常见的语言测试方法,全国高等学校英语专业八级考试(专八考试)采用短文改错检验考生语言知识运用能力已逾三十年。但学界对短文改错这一题型褒贬不一,尤其对其构念存有争议。本文探讨短文改错的构念发展,以专八考试的短文改错为例,首先梳理专八短文改错的历史沿革,通过评述现有的短文改错相关研究,提出今后应继续深挖短文改错构念,通过综合运用多元研究手段、注重考试真实性和有用性、探索施考方式变革、讨论短文改错对教学的反拨作用等途径,进一步加深对短文改错这一题型的认识。Proofreading,as a common language testing method,has been employed in the Test for English Majors Grade 8(TEM8)to assess candidates'language proficiency level for over three decades.However,opinions in the academic community regarding this test method are divided,particularly concerning its construct validity.This paper explores the development trajectory of proofreading task constructs,taking proofreading in TEM8 as an example.The paper begins by examining the historical development of TEM8 proofreading task by reviewing current related studies,and then proposes that future studies should further investigate its construct.This can be achieved through comprehensively applying diverse research methods,emphasizing the authenticity and usefulness of the test,exploring changes of test administration approaches,and discussing the washback effect of proofreading test on teaching,thereby deepening the understanding of proofreading task.
