膨胀石墨/碳纳米管复合增强铝碳耐火材料性能研究

摘  要:为充分发挥低维纳(微)米材料的协同强韧化作用,以板状刚玉、活性氧化铝微粉、单质硅、纳米炭黑为原料,以热固性酚醛树脂为结合剂,分别引入膨胀石墨(EG)、预合成碳纳米管改性的膨胀石墨(EG-CNTs)以及表面负载含镍催化剂的膨胀石墨(EG-Ni),经混料、成型、固化后,再经800、1000、1200和1400℃保温3 h热处理,制备了低碳铝碳耐火材料。研究了膨胀石墨种类(EG、EG-CNTs、EG-Ni)对铝碳耐火材料结构演变及性能的影响。结果表明:1)引入EG-CNTs、EG-Ni的试样的常温抗折强度比引入EG的试样的提高很多,因为EG-CNTs、EG-Ni均能促进试样中SiC晶须的形成,从而起到了很好的增强作用。2)引入EG-Ni的试样的抗热震性最好,因为EG-Ni可以原位生成碳纳米管,伴随有碳纳米管/SiC晶须的原位协同增韧的作用,可以显著提高材料的抗热震性。To fully utilize the synergistic strengthening-toughening effects of low-dimensional nano/micrometer materials,tabular corundum,activated alumina micropowder,silicon and nano carbon black were adopted as raw materials,with thermosetting phenolic resin as a binder.Three types of expanded graphite were introduced:expanded graphite(EG),pre-synthesized carbon nanotube-modified expanded graphite(EG-CNTs),and Ni-base catalyst-loaded expanded graphite(EG-Ni).After mixing,shaping,curing,and heat treatment at 800,1000,1200 and 1400℃ for 3 h,low carbon Al_(2)O_(3)-C refractories were prepared.The impact of the different types of expanded graphite(EG,EG-CNTs and EG-Ni)on the structural evolution and performance of the refractories was investigated.The results demonstrate that the cold modulus of rupture of the samples with EG-CNTs or EG-Ni is much higher than that of the samples with EG,as EG-CNTs and EG-Ni both promote the formation of SiC whiskers in the samples,thereby playing a good role in strengthening.The sample with EG-Ni performs the best thermal shock resistance,because EG-Ni can generate carbon nanotubes in situ,accompanied by the synergistic toughening effect of carbon nanotubes/SiC whiskers,which significantly improves the thermal shock resistance of the material.
